Richard Grencis is one of the leading parasite immunologists worldwide who has collaborated and published throughout his career with some of the best immunologists in Europe.

He has generated completely new paradigms of how the immune response controls helminth parasites, particularly gastrointestinal nematodes - one of the commonest forms of infection of man and animals worldwide.

His research has also identified novel mechanisms of immunoregulation via cytokines which have contributed to fundamental immunology.
