Membership ballot on motions for the AGM#


Members of Academia Europaea are now invited by the Trustees to vote on a number of motions that will be put to the Annual Business Meeting - Barcelona 15th October, 2025.

All members are eligible to cast their vote. If you vote now you can also attend the AGM in person.

The Trustees of Academia Europaea invite you to cast your votes in response (for, or against) to the four resolutions below. You will need to sign in to your AE account to vote (see below).

These resolutions are items of ordinary business, that are usually conducted at the plenary Annual Business Meeting of members. The ballot opens on 15th September and closes on 26th September at midnight (CET).


Resolutions#


Resolution number 1: is that, the Trustees ask the members to adopt the Trustees (activity 2024) report.

[This report will be submitted to the Charity Commissioners for England and Wales.]


Resolution number 2: The trustees recommend that members adopt the examined accounts, for the year ended 31 December 2024.

Read the Treasurer’s summary report (this is AGM Document 3.2 supplement) and view the full accounts and a summary report.

[The accounts will be filed at UK Companies House and with the Charity Commission of England and Wales.]


Resolution number 3: The Trustees ask members to re-appointment our accountants and examiners - Keith Vaudrey and Co Ltd. Chartered Certified Accountants, 51, Marloes Road, London W8 6LA , as auditors/examiners for 2026.

This is an annual legal obligation.


Resolution number 4. The Trustees recommend that members approve the following recommended scale of age-related membership fees from January 2026.

The trustees are not proposing any increases for 2025.

Members up to and including 65 years of age: 200 Euro [168 GBP]
Members 66 - 75 years of age: 125 Euro [100 GBP]
Foreign members (all age categories): 200 Euro [168 GBP]
Members over 75: Voluntary donations are welcomed but they are optional recommended minimum 40 Euros [35 GBP].

Members please note: The fee structure is recommended and not obligatory. We treat member payments as donations to fit our charitable status. Members may vary payments according to their personal circumstances. Waivers and exemptions will be granted on request.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO VOTE#


1) go to the voting platform
  • To cast your votes, you have to identify (log in)
  • If you have forgotten your password, you can easily obtain a new one by going to the AE website start page and click on the "Get Password" button next to the Login button in the top right corner of the page
  • Now either enter your user name or your email address and click on the button "Send me new password"
    Your user name consists of the first letter of your first name and your family name. Example: Dana Kaiser, username dkaiser
  • You can repeat this process as often as necessary. You can change the password after you have logged in. The new password will be sent to the address registered in the Academy database.

2) click on the links to the four ballots and then cast your vote.
