• since 1992 professoral position at several major Chinese Universities, pt. at Tshinghua University in Beijing and Shanghia Jiao Tong University
  
• since 2001 member of prestigious international lierary journals in Europe and the USA, of which he has founded Chinese branches with regular circulation in Chinese (New Literary History and Critical Inquiry)
  
• since 1991 numerous Chinese grants, 10 of which with the aim to introduce European theory and criticism in China
  
• since 1990 research grants to Europe as visiting professor/research fellow (The Netherlands (NIAS), Norway (Oslo U)(several times), UK (Cambridge U), and the USA, Canada and Australia.
