Yaroslav Shuba has been involved in the research of membrane ion channels in neuronal, cardiac and other cell types since 1980. Significantly contributed to the discovery of the phenomenon of Ca2+-dependent regulation of Ca2+ channels selectivity and permeation (J. Carries fruitful international collaborations with University of Lille (France), Central Caribbean University (Puerto Rico, USA), United Arab University (Al Ain, UAE).
