- Structure and function of mitochondrial carriers in cell metabolism, and special cell functions (e.g., insulin secretion)
- Diseases caused by defects of mitochondrial carrier genes, and role of the carriers in diabetes, cancer, etc.
- Import mechanism of nuclear-coded mitochondrial carriers into the inner mitochondrial membrane
- Transcriptional regulation of mitochondrial carrier gene expression
