Marco Pagano - Biography#


Marco Pagano is Professor of Finance at the University of Naples Federico II, and Research Fellow of the Centre for Studies in Economics and Finance (CSEF), the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF), the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and the Centre for Financial Studies, Frankfurt (CFS). He is also Fellow of the European Economic Association (EEA), Chair of the Scientific Council of the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) and of the Scientific Committee of the UniCredit Foundation, and member of the National Committee of Research Evaluation (CNVR), which advises the Italian Minister of University and Research. He taught at Bocconi University and Imperial College, and was managing editor of the Review of Finance, chair of the Advisory Scientific Committee of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB), president of the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF) and director of the Centre for Studies in Economics and Finance. His research is in the area of finance, chiefly banking, corporate finance, market microstructure, macroprudential policy, and lately labor and finance. He has published articles on the top economics and finance journals, and co-authored with Thierry Foucault and Ailsa Roëll the book Market Liquidity: Theory, Evidence and Policy, published by Oxford University Press in 2013. Marco Pagano's work has more than 8,200 Scopus citations, 7,150 WoS citations. According to RePEc he is the 5th most published and cited Italian economist.
