1970 - 1975 regular course in Classical Philology (Latin, Greek, Comparative Philology, Germanic Philology, Sanskrit) at the Turin University.
1975 Laurea in Lettere (MA and PhD). Thesis in Comparative Philology under supervision of Prof. Giuliano Bonfante.
1976 - 1977 Supplementary teaching (Latin and Greek) in State High Schools (Liceo Classico). 6-11 September 1976 “Corso di Scienze linguistiche” at the University of Pisa.
December 1977 - June 1978 Visiting Scholar at the Cambridge University (UK), Faculty of Oriental Studies with grants from Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei / British Academy: Iranian Studies with Dr. Ilya Gershevitch (research on Indo-Iranian Philology and on Old and Middle Iranian languages).
1979 - 1983 July and August regularly Visiting Scholar at the Cambridge University (UK), Faculty of Oriental Studies with scholarships from the Istituto Italiano per il Medio ed Estremo Oriente (IsMEO): research on Old and Middle Iranian languages and philology.
