Richard Jozsa was the founding member of the Bristol Quantum Computing and Quantum Information Research Group in August 1999. The group had permanent appointments (including five professorships) in the departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Electronic Engineering as befits the strongly cross-disciplinary nature of the field. In 2010 he moved to DAMTP University of Cambridge to head the Centre for Quantum Information and Foundations.
