Anna Jonsson Cornell - Biography#

Since 2016, Professor Dr. Anna Jonsson Cornell, born in 1973, holds the position of full Professor in Comparative Constitutional Law at Uppsala University, Faculty of Law, Sweden. As of 2018, she acts as the vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law, and is in charge of issues of research at the Faculty. Since 2020, she is the General Secretary of the International Association of Constitutional Law. She has received numerous research grants. She specializes not only in European Constitutional Law, but in particular in Eurasian Studies, with special focus on Russia. She has several long-term research stays abroad in her record. Between 2010 and 2015 she was Research Director of Uppsala Forum for Democracy, Peace and Justice.
