Zuzana Havrankova - Biography#
Zuzana Havrankova, nee Irsova, is an associate professor at the Institute of Economic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. She served as a research visitor at the Czech National Bank and the University of California, Berkeley. At the age of 37, Zuzana has published 26 papers, 15 of them as the corresponding author. The publication outlets include those of The Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of International Economics (3x), Review of Economic Dynamics, European Economic Review, IMF Economic Review, and Experimental Economics. Her research was used by several policy institutions including the US Congress, European Parliament, European Commission, OECD, IMF and World Bank. Her expertise revolves around meta-analysis and she is currently a lead investigator of highly selective national grant focusing on development of quantitative tools that tackle spurious precision in meta-analysis. She was named the top female economist in the country by the Czech Economic Society. According to RePEc, she ranks among the 150 top female economists worldwide based on publications during the last 10 years. She currently supervises five Ph.D. students, eight MA students, and three BA students at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. She is also a mother of four.
