Alessio Figalli - Biography#

Figalli obtained his PhD at SNS Pisa and ENS Lyon in 2007 under the joint supervision of Ambrosio and Villani. He is currently full professor at ETH Zurich. Figalli's work in analysis and the theory of partial differential equations has received widespread international recognition, most notably through the award of the Fields Medal in 2018.
