RESEARCH INTEREST: His work focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases, in particular heart failure and, within this contest, on the role of non-coding RNAs and epigenetics. Other research lines are related to the study of cardiomyopathies (through genetics and iPSC), of biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases (microRNAs, lncRNAs and microvescicles) and, more recently, of the role of innate and acquired immunity in cardiovascular diseases.
