Zeshui Xu - Biography#

Professor Xu received M.Sc. degree in Operations Research and Cybernetics from Qufu Normal University and Ph.D. degree in Management Science from Southeast University, China. He is currently a Full Professor of Sichuan University, China. He was selected as one of the Highly Cited Researchers from 2014 to 2021 in both Computer Science and Engineering, the Most Cited Chinese Researchers (ranked first in Computer Science, 2014-2021), ranked 193th among world’s top 100,000 Scientists in 2021, and ranked 57th among world's top 1000 Scientists in Computer Science & Electronics in 2021. He has been elected to Member of EASA and IASCYS, and Fellow of IEEE, RSA, IFSA, IET, BCS, IAAM, ORS, and AAIA, etc. He received rewards of Thomson Reuters China Citation Laureates in both Computer Science and Engineering, four Natural Science Awards on Science and Technology from Ministry of Education of China, Distinguished Young Scholar of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Distinguished Professor of Cheung Kong Scholars Program, etc.

Professor Xu has made great and pioneering contributions to decision-making theory and techniques, information fusion operators, clustering algorithms, fuzzy systems and applications. He has systematically proposed the fusion theory, preference relations methodology, and decision-making framework based on different information forms, which provide a strong foundation for intelligent decision making. His work has been presented in 18 monographs published by Springer and 700 SSCI/SCI journal papers. His publications have more than 73,000 citations with the h-index of 138 in Google Scholar.

He is the Associate Editor, Co-Editor or Editorial (Advisory) Board Member for more than 30 international professional journals, including IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, etc., and the Reviewer for more than 300 professional journals. He has been invited as the Committee Member of more than 50 academic conferences.
