I have a research interest in the systemic vasculitides and have published over 280 articles.

I have current grants of £2.5M as co-chief investigator and > £1.8M as a co-applicant with funding from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)

I regularly lecture as an invitee at national and international meetings on the topic of vasculitis.

I have supervised several research fellows.

I have been the chief of the rheumatology clinical service in my hospital (Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) since 2020.
