Supervision of about 40 M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. Arranging and/or teaching several graduate and postgraduate courses on various topics at the University of Aarhus, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Lund, Sweden, the University of Southern California, Marine Bi¬ological Laboratory, Woods Hole, Marine Biological Laboratory at Eilat, Israel, and at the University of Vienna.

Administrative experience: Chairman of the Department of Ecology and Genetics, University of Aarhus, during two periods and Chairman of the Marine Biological Laboratory, University of Copen¬hagen since 1987.
