Time: 20th November 2024, 12.00 – 16.15 UK timeVenue: In-person event, Haydn Ellis Building, Cardiff University, Maindy Road
Artificial intelligence (AI) and especially generative AI has been hitting the headlines. AI seems to present us with extensive opportunities, whilst there are also warnings of significant downsides. But what exactly is AI, and what how could it affect us in our work and daily lives? Join us, for a lively and frank discussion with leading European experts, examining the big issues behind AI. We welcome everyone who is curious about AI and wants to find out more. This event is completely open, free, and with lunch and networking opportunities.
We are running a poster and video competition too, with a cash prize; more details to follow.
This event is organised by Connects-UK, a partnership to foster scientific collaboration between Europe and the UK, and supported by Academia Europaea Cardiff Knowledge Hub, part of a pan-European academy promoting research excellence and science for policy.
Travel subsidies are available for attendees. To find out more, please contact info@connects-uk.org.
