ESSAYS
Among Waldemar Zacharasiewicz' essays, which have appeared in various scholarly journals, is a long review of research on studies of Southern literature and culture (AmSt 1991) and on 'The Invention of Southern Literature' (Sprachkunst 2001), and numerous essays on 20th-century Southern writers.
Waldemar Zacharasiewicz has also published a review of research on national stereotypes in literature in the English language (REAL 1982) and fifteen other imagological essays on various aspects of the use of stereotypes in anglophone fiction and travel literature, especially on the Image of Germany and of Austria in American and Canadian literatures.
Among Waldemar Zacharasiewicz' publications are also essays on fiction by writers from several Canadian regions and on cultural nationalism in the New World.
