* 2018 - 2021 ‘Exceptional Contribution’ Award for three years in a row by the University of Glasgow. Xenophontos' contribution to the University in terms of research, teaching, funding generation, leadership and management, impact and esteem was highly praised. This award, accompanied by £1000 each time, is granted to only 8% of the University’s members of staff

* 2017 - 2018 Project Leader and Principal Investigator (PI) of the project “The reception of Aristotle in Byzantium: The first critical edition of George Pachymeres᾽ Commentary on Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics” funded by the most prestigious funder in the UK, the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) (success rate: 6%; total amount awarded: £249,784) ([https://byzantinearistotle.arts.gla.ac.uk]).
