*1971-99: Junior/Senior Research Fellow, Founder of Dept. of Stat. Phys., Scientific Director (January 1993-December 1995)Mathematical Institute of Hung. Acad. Sci.\\
*1975-77: interest turns to mathematical statistical physics, in particular, to dynamical theory of Brownian motion\\
*1979-: previous interest led him to the theory of dynamical systems, in particular, to the theory of hyperbolic billiards. \\
*1999-: Professor, Budapest University of Technology, Dept. of Stochastics (1999-2005: Director of Mathematical Institute)\\
*2011-: Professor Emeritus
