*President, the Language Tribunal in the Socialist People’s Front of Slovenia (1985-1988).\\

*Deputy President of the Council of RTV Slovenia (1990-1994). \\

*Deputy Secretary General of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (1992-1996)\\

*Founder of the International Colloquia on Communication and Culture (1987) and the European Institute for Communication and Culture (1993)\\

*Editor-in-Chief, Javnost-The Public 1993-Member of the Council for Science and Technology of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia (1995-1999)\\

*Deputy Chairman of Social Sciences Council, Ministry of Science and Technology (1995-2001). \\
