Optics (thin metal layers), Nuclear Physics (parity violation, proton polarized beams), Elementary Particle Physics (electron and neutron scattering), Accelerator Engineering (superconducting cavities), Detector Development (hadron calorimeter).

 More than 200 papers in refereed journals; many articles in magazines and newspaper about science and ethics, popularization of science.

 Author of books: Particle accelerators, Vieweg & Sohn and Pitman &and sons 1967; "Weak Interactions and Nuclear Beta-Decay" Gordon and Breach 1965, "Matter and Anti -matter". Popularization of science, Science and society (several articles in journals and conferences), Science and Religion, editor of several books.
Editor: : The investigation of nuclear structure by scattering processes at high energies, North Holland 1975, Advances of Accelerator Physics and Technologies, World Science 1993, Landoldt Börnstein Numerical Data and Functions, Springer, seit 1960.
