Structure, geodynamics and physical properties of sedimentary basins\\
The research of Prof. Scheck-Wenderoth is focused on the topics of Geoenergy and Geodynamics of sedimentary basins, data-based structural modelling of sediments, crust and lithospheric mantle, coupled transport of heat and fluids in the subsurface, regional 3D gravity modelling, structural and subsidence history and salt dynamics. \\
\\
Regional (basin-scale) models of coupled fluid- and heat transport and analysis of boundary conditions relevant for geothermal applications address case studies in Central Europe (Central European Basin System, Molasse Basin, Upper Rhine Graben); South and North Atlantic conjugate passive margins, arctic basins (Beaufort-MacKenzie Basin, Barents-Kara Sea) and the Andean foreland.\\ \\
