Tijana Popović Mladjenović, PhD, is Professor of Musicology at the University of Arts in Belgrade, Faculty of Music, and Head of the Musicology Department. Her main research interests include the European music of the fin de siècle, poetics and stylistics of contemporary music (she specialized in contemporary French music at the University of Paris IV Sorbonne), aesthetics and philosophy of music and interdisciplinary approach to musicology and the art theory. She was visiting professor at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, the University in Ljubljana, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and the Music Academy of the University in Sarajevo.

She is author of six books – Musical Writing (1996 [[2015]]), reviewed in Music and Letters; E lucevan le stelle – Selected Fragments from the Italian and French Opera Tradition (1997); Claude Debussy and His Time (2008); Processes of Panstylistic Musical Thinking (2009); Interdisciplinary Approach to Music: Listening, Performing, Composing, reviewed in Musicae Scientiae; and The Musical Text and the Ontology of the Musical Work (2017); co/editor of thirty books and contributor to diverse music encyclopedias and dictionaries (Die Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart (second edition), 2000; The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (second edition), 2001; the Serbian Encyclopedia, 201; Grove Music Online, 2014;  Le Grand Larousse Illustré). She is the author of more than 120 research papers and chapters published in national and international journals and scientific publications or presented at the conferences in Serbian, English, French and German language. She is member of international conference committees, editorial boards of the scientific journals (as well as peer reviewer), international and national research projects, as well as of the International Musicological Society, the Serbian Musicological Society, the Board of the Composers’ Association of Serbia, the Board of the Matica Srpska Department of Stage Art and Music.\\ \\
