__The European Commission’s Directorate for Research and Innovation together with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development are pleased to announce a research conference on “''Reigniting Growth: Firm-Level Insights into Productivity and Economic Dynamism''” taking place on the 17th of November 2025 in Brussels. The conference aims at bringing together researchers and policy makers to present cutting edge research and policy around the areas of productivity and business dynamics. The organisers are particularly interested in papers that can speak to these themes as well as their interaction with competition, trade, the green transition and more inclusive societies.__

Topics of interest include, but not limited to, __empirical evidence__ on the following aspects within the context of the EU:
\\
*The role of research and innovation in boosting productivity.
*The slow-down in productivity growth across many countries.
*Productivity dispersion, its causes and consequences.
*The effect of business dynamics, job reallocation and firm entry on productivity.
*The interactions between the level and nature of competition and productivity growth.
*Trade and productivity, especially the effects of trade on firm performance.
*Sectoral studies of productivity growth or business dynamics.
*The link between environmental performance and productivity.
*The impact of digital technology adoption on productivity and business dynamics.
*The effect of productivity growth or business dynamics on inclusiveness.

!How to apply:

Papers should be submitted to [multiprod@oecd.org|mailto: no later than __July 15th, 2025__, close of business. Authors of successful submissions will be notified by the beginning of September.

Presenters are expected to present their work in person on the 17th of November 2025 in Brussels at the European Commission premises. All papers presented at the conference will be published on the website of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation.

!Logistics

There is a limited budget for travel and accommodation expenses for presenters. Meals taken during the conference will be covered for all participants.
