!Your Research. Your Momentum

The Momentum MSCA Premium Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme is a 5-year initiative designed to attract and support up to 35 outstanding postdoctoral researchers from around the world. Following a successful first call that concluded with an excellent cohort of fellows, the Programme is now preparing to launch its second call.

Fellows conduct their research within “Lendület” (Momentum) research groups in Hungary. The Programme is open to a broad range of disciplines represented by the host research groups.
\\ \\
Successful candidates will benefit from a competitive salary, allowances, top-tier research opportunities, and extensive training and development support. Fellowships may last 1 to 3 years, including a mandatory secondment of 1 - 3 months. Applicants are encouraged to plan for the full 3-year period to maximise the Programme’s benefits and research impact.

The second call for applications opens on __1 December 2025__, aiming to select 16 - 17 new postdoctoral fellows, with the application window open until __31 January 2026__.

Launched in 2009, "Lendület," Momentum, is the flagship research excellence scheme of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA). It has supported more than 270 independent research groups across diverse scientific fields, enabling leading researchers to advance innovative, autonomous research projects.
